TT GO 730 map

Postby Tomtomstarter » Sat Sep 16, 2017 5:25 pm

Hi,

Device: TT GO 730
Navcore (from TT Home): 8.351
Maps needed: NL, BE, DE

Right now I am trying to update my TT GO 730. Unfortunately, I am getting a .dct error when I patch the map. All other .dct files are created succesfully. I think I have a map without a meta code. However, I am not sure about that.

I got: Europe 1GB North 995 8549
And I thought the meta code was available:
D2 7B 95 61 F3 0F 10 41 C1 92 32 62 3D CA 17 99 Europe_North-101296.meta ; Europe_North 995_8549

Am I correct that these map and meta code are not connected?

If yes, it seems that I need to use another map. However, the size of the map cannot be too big since I want to use it for my TomTom start too. That's why I tried the 1GB map. Could you suggest another map to me (NL, BE, DE)?

If no, could it be that the map is not supported by my NC?

Thanks!

Ok, there are a few issues here....

The official navcore for a Go 730 is 9.510 which is a considerable upgrade from the older 8.351 you have installed at the moment.
I highly recommend backing up your current setup and then letting TomTom Home update your device to: 9.510 (which is compatible with ALL maps available to download here)

Europe_North 995_8549 & Europe 1GB North 995 8549 are two different maps which will account for your error message:

Europe_North 995_8549 = DOES have a meta code available
Europe 1GB North 995 8549 = DOES NOT have a meta code available

There are many different maps but to get (NL, BE, DE) on both devices you need to download either of the following:

Europe_North 995_8549 = 1.31GB
Europe_North_1GB 995_8511 = 665MB (and also DOES have meta code available)

Sorry for my late reply. Your info helped me perfectly. It seems to be working now.

Thanks!

You're welcome...did you update the NC or just get the map working?
