Special v995 maps

Activation of maps with equivalent metas. If you have a map that has no meta, you may be able to activate it if there is an equivalent meta.


So, in simple terms (Northern_US_and_Canada_995_8550 example):

Download/decompress/copy the map that you want to activate (but for which you don't have the meta).
Delete the relavent .meta file
Copy into the map folder the .meta file from the other map (same country - compatible as number) for the same country
Activate the map with the usual system.

For example:

Copy map Northern_US_and_Canada_995_8550
Delete map Northern_US_and_Canada_995_8550 meta file (Northern_US_and_Canada-101297.meta)
Copy the meta of 995_8551 (Northern_US_and_Canada-101298.meta) that has meta code into map 995_8550 folder
Unlock the map.

The equivalent numbers are:

995.8507 = 995.8508 = 995.8509 = 995.8546 = Truck
995.8511 = 995.8512 = 995.8513 = 995.8549 = 995.8550 = 995.8551

Very important: only when the size of the meta files that we are going to change are the same

It really depends on what other metas are available for the map you're trying to activate...

You're wanting to activate Australia 995.8509 but there is no meta for that map released yet...

So, by following Orni's instructions....IF there was another Australia map that already has a meta with either of these numbers: 995.8507 = 995.8508 = 995.8509 = 995.8546...

...you could download that map as well > pull out the meta file from that map > swap that meta file with the one from Australia 995.8509 > then activate the map

However in your case, there are no other Australian maps that are equivalent to each other that have a meta code released as yet...so it's not possible

Just thought I'd like to say this solution by orni's, work's realy well, I was able to activate map
United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of Ireland_995.8511 (for which there is no official m*ta.txt code yet),
using the .met file from the map United_kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_995.8549.
It seem's complicated, in words, but is quite straight forward in opperation.

It is a nice solution and if you have a device with a mike you can use the speech recognition and also use the computer voices
if your device supports it otherwise stick to the 8549.
