It is often just a matter of trying.
In most cases, when using Jdownloader, a file like that starts after less than 10 tries.
Simply restart the download a couple of times to get a free slot.

Hi NT - Thanks for rapid reply.
I have repeated the process exactly as you said (this time) I had removed the other countries to save space and only moved over the two "UK" files. This time I unzipped in the TT root directory and that's where the "zip" folder now lives.
I have tried postcode entry and it worked OK taking six characters but to be honest I think it's always taken six characters as the UK postcode is incomplete unless it's six. So I don't know if your new one is running but wait...
I have checked my backup folder and the file "zip" is in there (original folder copy) so clearly your new files have over-written the existing folder immediately the archive was opened up. Yes so it's OBVIOUSLY working. Thanks very much, now I know what to do next time for every map and postcode update. Well done to all senior "mentors" for getting me up and running, I am very pleased. Best wishes, Dave.

The postcode update is needed, if a device will only accept 4 digits.

Hello -
Having a problem with a new map I put on today:
United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_905_4800 with Automatic Installer & Patcher
; United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_905_4800
DA 0E 9A 4F 19 3B F1 DC F1 90 17 02 70 55 3A C9 United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-746.meta
One installed the Tom tom reports I have the wrong activation code. I can see the meta file the correct directory - dated 25/1/2013
"Sorry this is not the correct activation code for the product United_kingdom and republic of Ireland..."
Restarted a few times - no joy. Is the meta really wrong or could it be pulling something from the wrong place.
Many thanks

910.4892 is the current UK&ROI map. Rather than continue to struggle with 905, may I suggest you download the 910 edition..

Thanks for the suggestion - unfortunately there was no meta for my device.
However, I just ran the FastActivate and that fixed it - even though I downloaded the exe. Nothing like brute force :)

1. You didn't post your navcore version, so I suggested the full feature version, instead of UK&ROI 910.4952. FFR: maps arre navcore specific, not device specific.

Sorry TD you are quite right - my misuse of terminology - I meant navcore not device :) And you want to get the right one as it takes so long to get a download slot - if you're like me and don't want to register on download sites :) yes, I know leech.

yes, I know leech.
The good news is that it is only a 1 part 159MB download.

I just installed Hong Kong 905.4757 on my XXL540S. A message appears when I try to shift to Hong Kong map: "Problem with map. You cannot use this map on this device: Hong_Kong-713."
Please advise me how to solve it. Thank you.

Patch the NavCore of yourTT using FastActivate.
