Hello tendriver.
I followed the instructions but when I get on the download page, I click on slow download. He asks me to run or save the file like this "23891092.part1.rar" which are all executable files to 313 KB. In any case, I settled with the dlc file.

We can't troubleshoot your issue without knowing which map you are referring to.

Navitotal's Europe 910.4892 download is 2.44GB, not 1.75GB. ALL of the Europe 910 maps are over 2GBs.

Hi,

I've downloaded the UK maps with the auto patcher and the process all ran through properly but when I check what map I'm running on the tomtom home software it says - Version 845.266

The TomTom I'm using is a XL 30 series 1GB.

Should I be using a different map? Are these new 910s not for this TomTom device? Do we just install to the root directory of the TomTom (in my case d:/)? Do we have to remove any of the old files?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm a bit confused. Also, I'm guessing we don't need the fastloader if we're using the automatic patching files?

Thanks in advance for any help :)

What UK number map did you download? If that is what map shows, you did not read instructions.

I downloaded United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_910_4892 with Automatic Installer & Patcher

Seems like all my files have gone from my tomtom now as well rendering it useless. I tried using the backup I made but that failed also :(

Is there any way of restoring this now? I'm left with a dead satnav and holiday is next week :(

Managed to get the tomtom to turn back on now but I get the 'no maps installed'

What's my best option guys? Can I install these maps straight to the device or does it need to have a currently functioning licenses on it to work?

Still not sure what I did wrong in the first place though so any help on installing would be appreciated :)

You must activate maps. Read tutorial.

I understand that but I have no backup of my old maps, licenses etc. The built in backup on tomtom home completely bricked the device. I've only just been able to get it to operate up until the 'no maps installed' screen.

I thought the automatic install was just a case of opening the exe, pointing the program to the tomtom device and clicking install. I might need a bit of clarification if possible.

Thanks
