The above is what i posted in the meta thread. Thanks Tendriver for letting me know I posted in the wrong thread and am sorry for the mistake. I'm just reposting the same problem here since this is the right thread. Permit me to quote your reply from the meta thread here:
" "map cannot be used" is the classic message for an unpatched map. Look in the USA_Canada 930-5563 map folder for a .meta & a .meta.dct file. No .meta.dct file = map not patched."

Infact I did patch it with Fastactivate and the Map Folder does have a meta.dct file. Let me also add a bit more info.

1) Map cannot fit GPS, so i have it on MicroSD card.

2) I thought once i insert card in GPS and turn it off and back on, it should create a ttgo.bif file in the card; It didn't, so i copied it over from the GPS into the card

3) I thought maybe there was a problem with the download, so i downloaded again but same problem

4) Africa map is small and can be downloaded fast, so downloaded it to make sure the Fastactivate i have is ok. Indeed the Africa 930-5563 is well patched and is accepted by GPS (it is small enough to fit in GPS). I haven't tried it yet on the card but maybe i should.

I am attempting to download the USA_930-5563 map which will also meet my needs but am having difficulties downloading parts 4 and 5 from file factory.
If i can get the USA-Canada_930-5563 which i already have to work i would be very grateful. Thanks

Thanks Tendriver and everybody. I couldn't get the USA_Canada 930-5563 i downloaded from "930/931 Map Collections Only!!" post #15 to work. After patching, GPS kept saying Map Cannot be Used. I thought there could have been some damage during download or extraction, so i downloaded it again and still same problem on both my Go 740 Live and Go 720. I've now downloaded this map from elsewhere and it works. Once more thanks.

I downloaded Europe 930.5563 from the link to the DLC and part 02 was/is unavailable. I see that part 02 is now shown, as available, in the link: [Please Register or Login to download file] Tried to d/l, but server under maintenance. I'm working on the basis that this part02 id the same as the one from the DLC.
