You haven't done anything wrong. When a multi-part map is uploaded, the parts can end up on different servers. File Factory, like the others, only allots X number of free slots to their servers. Occasionally all of the allocated free slots are in use and you get the pink notice block, much like a telephone busy signal.

I tried to download "Western_Europe 940.5997 with automatic installer and patcher" but received part02.rar to part09.rar. There was no part01.exe.
Should I rename part02.rar to part01.exe and so on?

Ir appears that the linkcrypt download links are numbered 1 thru 8, but in filefactory they are numbered 2 thru 9, as you noted.

That's correct. there is no meta available for the Europe 940.5966
Try Europe_940_5965 instead. There's a meta available for this map and it has ALG and IQ-Routes as an extra.
And this map works on a 8.351 navcore

Or upgrade your navcore to version 9.510. Than you have more choice in maps.

Hi everyone, firstly thanks for all the info on here... quite a trawl to find relevant parts but have got there. i have tried to update my old tomtom one edition three using the universal patcher and installer, this is the link i used for the maps i wanted which contained i think the needed meta file...

having installed this and ran fast activate all seems to go ok, no error messages, map files show and no .dct errors, however when i boot up my nav it says no map found. yet if i connect to the tomtom app on the computer the map shows there and doesnt say anything about needing activating.


im a noob to this as you can tell, i was just kinda hoping someone could kindly give me some guidance as to where i may have gone wrong, if you need some more info from me too help just ask.

This is the classic message when the navcore has not been patched.

Run FastActivate Option 3.
