I just tried to replace the ttsystem file and suddenly a windows warning came up to say that the drive is not formatted, so it seems I have lost the entire card contents - what should I do now? I can't start the device to see if the backup works and the card reader is saying the card needs formatting?

You copied the wrong file. You should have copied the system file not the ttsystem file. At this point you have a 7903 navcore with a 8351 ttsystem file.

I have just put the original tt sd card back in this device and it still refuses to start up, so I tried the SD card from my other TT One and it still refuses to start up. This unit was my spare, I recently had it repaired by TT and it's like new, hardly used, I just take it away on holidays in case my main One stops working (the micro usb's go faulty on them easily). Something has happend to stop this from working as it was fine before I put the ttsystem file on it. (Regarding my mentioning the boot up problem, in case you think it's my device that's faulty, my other one is exactly the same, takes forever to connect to the PC, also tried on two different PC's and my laptip, so it's NOT the PC that's causing it).

Has the Navcore been damaged? I thought everything was contained on the SD card on these? Does the One v3 have flash memory for the Navcore, it's the only thing that I can think of that could have changed. It's a new usb socket, brand new genuine TT usb cable, new on/off switch, which you can feel clicking when pressed, which they don't click when worn out. It also had fitted a new battery so the unit is NOT faulty (was not faulty). Please can you help as it cost a lot to send away and have repaired? Thanks,

No it would not let me continue, I had to re-format and replaced all files from backup but as I said in my previous post, the device will not start up now even with it's original TT SD card (which is totally untouched as it came from TT in the One when I got it) or the original card from my other unit OR the newly formatted SD card with a backup of the original card with the working 925 maps on it. I don't seem to be recieving your replies, I have to keep going back to my email account to get the links to any new posts / replies you made, sorry don't know why.
