Get a 4GB SDHC card & you won't have to worry about map sizes for quite awhile. You will need to upgrade your bootloader before you can use a SDHC card.
Download & use this ... Instructions included.
thanks ....

For clarification: The 5.5128 must be installed using your old card, with a full setup, before you can use your new 4GB.
- with the old SD copied the bootloader 5.5128 OK
- copied the ttgo.bif to the old SD card

Boot your unit with the old card, then you should be able to use the 4GB card.

Take the 955 map out of the old card & put the old map back into the old card..
Reboot.

Copy the entire working setup, that is on the old card, as is/make no changes.
Paste the entire working setup, that you copied from the SD card, onto the SDHC card. as is/make no changes.
Do a 30 second "Hard Reset" & Reboot

Is the SDHC card a good quality major brand, like Kingston, Sandisk, ETC?lukesw74 wrote:Removed the SD card
With Tomtom off used a straightened paper clip to push the reset button for at least 20 seconds
Turned device on by pressing the On/off button for at least 5 seconds (drum sound ok)
Inserted new SD card with old data
