I know that! (meta code must
be available)
The question is:
Southern Europe 1 985 8155
Southern Europe 2 985 8155
Southern Europe 3 985 8155
Southern Europe 985 8155
What is the difference between these 4 versions??? why 4 versions for one zone? (Southern Europe)
Changing a Map Zone (TomTom HOME)
The size of our maps increases all the time as we add detail, such as new roads. We add more detail to make the maps more accurate and more useful.
You may find that when you buy a new map or update an existing map, the map you have chosen does not fit on your navigation device. To solve this, TomTom HOME can offer you smaller sections of some maps, called map zones. A map zone contains the same level of detail as a complete map.
When you buy or update a map, you may be able to choose a map zone using TomTom HOME. This happens if you cannot fit a complete map on your navigation device.
For an overview of available map zones, see [Please Register or Login to download file] .

On using it I get the message that map Europe_Central 101.059 (!) can't be used on my TomTom.
What did I do wrong?

I downloaded FastActivate.rar and extracted both fastActivate.exe and integrated_meta.txt to the root and ran the exe.
Alas, the result was not different from before.

Ok, I can see what's happened now....
In your first post you said you'd downloaded Europe_Central 985_8155 which would be fine as there is a meta code released for that map and can be activated successfully.
However, in your last post you can see that you've actually downloaded Central_Europe_985_8155 which cannot be activated as there isn't a meta code released for that map yet.
They are two different maps....there must be a meta code present on this page in order for a map to be activated successfully.
So you need to download Europe_Central 985_8155 > extract it to your device > activate with FA option 2 > job done
