As usual, people are trying to activate 990 maps even though FastActivate hasn't been updated to reflect
the new meta codes above yet...this will obviously result in activation errors.
The workaround instructions for this are given both on the FastActivate page and also within the help file.

So for NaviTotal members only, we are providing the temporary solution until FastActivate is
updated after which this will be removed.

Download the following META.txt file and place it in the root of your device with FastActivate.exe
and the relevant map. Then run FA and select option 2, the map will activate successfully.
(Don,t forget to download the meta.txt)

Carminat is the name of the sat nav built into Renault cars although you can use those maps in any device that the navcore allows.

According to the chart both will work for my device (GO720), except 8351 has no Cspeech or ASR which are not critical for me.

But when comparing the USA_Canada maps I see 8351 is almost double the size. Does it include anything extra that may make it worthwhile?

I agree that it makes no sense...it looks like it could be a mistake so it might be worth sending a PM to Popeye to ask the question but there's no meta code for it anyway

You've already downloaded USA and Canada 990.8305 which is the best map, so stick with that

That's what I thought, but the larger size threw me off.

I was just seeing what else was available that I could "play around" with since I have room on the SD card.

Hello, is there something wrong with the file hosting site (FileFactory), I tried a few maps (e.g. USA Canada 990 8305) and they all ended up as File Removed. Please help, thanks.

No way to know exactly the coverage of all maps ? For Europe for example, there are so many different maps... I can't choose and find the one I need (France and all neighboring countries), because I'm limited by a 2 Gb device. I usally used to dowload the western europe map, but it became too big and don't work anymore with TTH (error messages, not enough empty space in the device).
For the one I choosed (Europe South West 990 8306), Italy is missing.

Stick to your usual map & download Western Europe 990.8306
Delete the cspeech files as they are no good on your IQ Routes anyway as it has no microphone...it will then be small enough to fit
