Europe 915_5110 on Navcore 7903 on TT GO Classic not working

Postby Strafe99 » Wed Dec 11, 2013 6:31 pm

Hi guys,

I've been banging my head against the wall with this one and have about 150 tabs open with various info about patching TT navcore and maps.

I'm trying to get Europe 915_5110 working on Navcore 7903 on my original TT GO Classic. I've patched both the map and the navcore using FastActivate, and both succeed without error. But when I put the SD card back into the TT, I get the 'couldn't find any maps' error.

According to this table, this map version should work on my navcore version: [Please Register or Login to download file]

Any ideas?!

Thanks in advance!

Why do you have a ttgo.bif file & a ttnavigator.bif file with different Bootloader & Application values??
BTW Europe 920.5267 is current for a 7903 navcore.

Hi tendriver,

That's a good question. I updated my TT GO with TT Home, and that's what it produced. Is there a better way of sourcing the right navcore version directly?

Thanks for the heads up on the map, will try that out too (once I find it).

1. Remove the ttgo.bif file & the ttnavigator.bif file. Paste them on your desktop. Boot the unit & see if a new .bif file is created. If so, post the contents of line 1 thru 13 here.
2. The Maps v9xx subforum might be a good place to start.

Only a ttgo.bif was recreated:

BootLoaderVersion=55229

ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=7903
ApplicationVersion=9183

That's good news.

Scroll down your ttgo.bif to lines 29 & 30. Post readings here:

CurrentMap=XXXXXXXXXX
CurrentMapVersion=XXXXXX

Solved!

tendriver, thanks for the help, you solved my problem in your first reply ;)

For some reason the map version I had didn't work (despite being listed as compatible - I think). I updated to Europe 920.5267 and now it works!

Many thanks!
