Hi all,

FYI

Europe TRUCK 996.8544, 7.23GB map is the latest, I have it on my device TT Go Pro 520 which I just updated last night.
It completed @ approx 23:00hrs 15/11/2017

Is there a way to take a map backup from my device and where would one get the .meta/.tmeta

The reason I ask is after many failed downloads and percentages going round in circles from 77% to 65% and back to 77% then a message saying update failed and having to start over and over again (lots of wasted data), it took about 10 attempts LOTS of hours/days and many of my friends internet connections to get this downloaded. My last attempt it downloaded completely from 0% to 100% with a message like "Map Added" or something and an OK button.

So to save future torture I would like to know how to make a backup or maybe find direct download links when updating.

TomTom really needs to get a handle on this.

You can,t make a backup and there are no direct download links.

That's because there aren't any map folders in a Truck map...

Also, you've downloaded an old map...the following link is for the latest one:
