Help getting Truck maps to work

Hi,

I'm a newbie to the forums and confused by everything in getting truck maps to work. I was running truck maps 875.3649 until my tomtom had a meltdown and decided it was going to work anymore. So I decided to download the latest maps and get it running again.

So far I've downloaded Maps 986.8184 and Navcore 9.702 and FastActivate but I'm stuck in getting it all running. I've got a Tomtom one xl sat nav with sd card slot. Can get everything on the card but really not sure how to link it all together. I understand I need to "patch" it but not sure if I'm doing it right.

If anyone could talk me through in a simple idiot way so I can get it all running, assuming I've downloaded the right things anyway.

Hopefully someone can help me. Ive got it all running but it regularly crashes and fails to boot. Im using maps 986 and navcore 9.701. Ive got a tomtom one xl 32mb with everything on a 4gb sd card.

In principal the one is to light for it (only 32MB ram). Try

Brilliant all seems to be working and more stable switching on/off. The menus are very basic and some options like "clear route" are missing. It has the option of Skin Chooser but that shows a screen that says X35 but won't do anything and needs to be reset to get me off this screen. Is that normal? Is it possible to add a more modern looking skin or does that cause issues?
