I wonder if someone can help me with a problem which i cannot seem to fathom.
I have the tomtom xxl 2gb model with 925 europe truck running on it and 9.702 navcore.
I had to really shoe horn this software on by doing the advised removal of cspeech files and crpoi,poi,cphoneme then overwriting the other five files to make the program smaller.

I've noticed on ebay that people are selling the xxl with the new 945 maps but can't work out how they made them fit.

will be grateful if somebody has an answer.

1. What is the download source for 9.702??
2. OK.
3. The 945 truck map?? If so, they deleted additional files that totaled 160 MB or more.

hi tendriver,dont know what the source was but the navcore was only small

i have seen a link on XXXXXXXX.net by a user called ???????? but cant log in or register as it knocks back any email address i try

There are only two ways to do this, that I am aware of.
1. Cut a Gig out of the map, which would leave you with a bare bones barely usable map.
2. Open the unit & solder a SDHC 4GB or larger card into it, as a new internal memory.

Well, there is a version of the XXL on the market that has 4gb internal memory on board. The're sold mostly in Germany. Maybe that's the one on ebay.

You are correct. The XXL 540 WTE & the XXL 540TM WTE have 4GB.
