I have a TT1 V8 which I patched some years ago and was running Aust 865.3245 map OK
We're going to the UK at the end of next week -hiring a car so I wanted to update and get a late UK map but I thought I'd start with a new Aus map first - My steps were:
1/ I backed up and emptied the device
2/ installed the 32mb version of the 951 Navcore using the universal loader
3/ Replaced the LoquendoTTS folder with my old one and also pasted the VocalizerTTS folder from the backup
4/ Ran the device - started OK and said 'no maps'
5/ Installed Aust 950_6492 and patched it using Fastactivator - the folder has the 100380.meta.dct file in it
6/ ttgo.bif file has the following:
CurrentMap=Australia_950_6492
CurrentMapVersion=950.6492 (note - one period mark - one underline separator
7/ turned off and unplugged from computer - restarted
8/ Unit goes into endless boot loop
9/ Hook up to computer - ran TT Home - it sees the map OK
10/ Removed the 950 map - copied back the 845 map - unit works OK

Does anyone have any idea what can be wrong??

With time, before your departure, getting short, I wouldn't waste any more of it on the Aussie map.
Install the UK map & give it a go.

Thanks - I'll do that but I think it's something to do with the voices....
I switched back to the 865 map and after a bit of delay it loaded and worked although it seemed sluggish - I went to the switch voices options and tested some - the first few samples worked then they all stopped working - I restarted it it and it went into the boot loop again - I'll clean off the voices and see what happens....
Also I noticed that TT Home didn't recognise the existence of any voices ..

I've had that with Dutch or Flemish voices. (like the Flemish more than the harsh Dutch ones)
The problem was the file title.
I found out what voices it was looking for, (it's a long list of fragments) and changed the title of the file.
A collection of alternative male or female voices, didn't work either, only some official Dutch ones.
Somehow the official Flemish didn't fit into the software, or were lagging.
I couldn't change language, simply because they were not available as option. (wrong file titles?)
So I had to use the Dutch voices also in Belgium maps.

Try deleting the existing currentmap.dat and currentlocation.dat. They can result in a bootloop.
An existing mapsettings.dat can do that too.

It's definitely the LoquendoTTS folder causing the problems - I think that the combination of the 9.51 Navcore and the 950 maps must be too much for the poor old girl - comes to a dead halt when I try to switch to a TTS voice
I'll try the 9.485 NC with the memory boost and hardwired sound - see how that goes

An update on this problem:

I managed to get the device running with the 9.485 memory boost NC but not with the Loquendo TTS - I had to revert to the Vocalizer TTS - 32Mb is apparently not enough memory to run Loquendo with the latest maps

Anyway - the main thing is that it is working

Did you add the complete TTS folder AFTER you installed the Navcore?
If so install the _Navcore with the voices already on the device.
Loquendo requires a patch and if this patch was not already inside your TTS folder the device will stay silent.
With my MB versions a big map and TTS you should still have over 4.5mb of RAM left.

My problem was the info.ini txt in the voicemap.
Addressing the correct Nationality or language, even the flag as .bmp
A CVS file contains the commands that addresses audiofiles.
Changed it a bit.
All my voices are now working correct.
Maybe it helps you?
The lower part with units seems to be less important, because other voices won't show these lines.
