How to install 950 Map on TT XXL Canada 310 ? [SOLVED]

Postby saker2k8 » Fri Aug 14, 2015 1:10 pm

Please Can someone explain me what I've doing wrong ?

I was donloaded latest FAST ACTIVE program and 955 CentralandEastern Europe Map...

I format my TT devices to Fat32 and then copy backup on it...

Then I copy FAST ACTIVE to my TT device and open and flash my PND Naavigator file...

Then I copy my donloaded 955 Map and flash it by FAST ACTIVE...

After I turned on my TT it says "you can not open this map on your device"

Can someone explain me why is that ?

Change map to 950 will help ?

Two things you need to look at:

1. The maps are navcore specific...not by device. So what navcore do you have installed on your device?
2. You need to make sure that the map you're trying to use has meta data available otherwise it can't be patched.

Btw: there is no meta data available yet for any 955 map so for now you'll need to be looking at 950 maps

All this could have been avoided by reading before downloading ;)

If I may add a couple of comments,,
1. We never suggest reformatting a unit, except in the most severe cases.
2. Why did you do this???
3. Your unit uses the ttsystem file, not the PNDNavigator file.

Now that you mention it, tendriver, can you tell what the difference is between the ttsystem and PNDNavigator?

I realise that it is not all that relevant in solving this topic but I can't find an answer and I am wondering about it for about two years...
