Hi all. I apologise if this topic has been covered but I honestly have searched for it in vain. Also sorry if I have missed the bleeding obvious. Over the years, I have sucessfully installed and updated various maps in my GO630 using FastActivate and it has always gone well. I now need to install a map but there is no corresponding meta code in the updated_meta.txt file so FastActivate tells me that there is a problem with the .dct file. I now have the meta code, as a string of numbers and a map refrence. How do I use it to install the map?
Help greatly appreciated.

No, I'm afraid your friend has got things a bit mixed up...

The meta code he's given you is an old meta from the previous series Africa 980.7901 so it definitely can't be used on Africa 985.8157:

9D CF 7C FE 8C 7E C9 90 D6 44 34 CB B7 17 3C 8A Africa-100939.meta ; Africa 980_7901

Incidentally, if you look at the help file included with FastActivate, it tells you how to add a new meta code that isn't already integrated into FA.
The same instructions also appear on the FastActivate page here

1. Update meta.txt
Update latest meta.txt. (if servers are not down) You need to allow wget.exe in your firewall, if asked.
If you have a new meta code, which is not in the integrated or updated meta.txt (See in program for date of current integrated meta.txt), then you must put all new meta codes in a file named META.TXT and copy it to the Device/SD-Card ROOT Directory or keep it in the same directory as FastActivate.exe.
