Memory size for One XL IQ route

Memory size for One XL IQ route

Postby mimi30 » Sun Dec 09, 2012 3:32 pm

Hi,
I would like to update my One XL IQ route with a new map but I don't find equivalent map for my device:
I dispose an original "Western and central Europe 2GB 845.2645" real size 1.7 GB
The total capacity of the device is 1.84 GB
None new maps "Western and central Europe 2GB" are below 2GB real !

Which map can I use ?

Thanks for your help

What navcore is on your unit? Since W&CE maps are too big, what area coverage is a MUST HAVE???

1. Your navcore version is needed to determine map availibility.
2. There has not been a W&CE map from 860 to 900 that will fit on your device. I repeat, "Since W&CE maps are too big, what area coverage is a MUST HAVE???"

Only alternative would be to add a 4 or 8GB SD to the device, if I'm not mistaken I even wrote a tutorial for that...
Of course that would be only for users that are willing to open their device for the check and that know how to use a fine soldering iron.
Several maps are not available for devices with only 2GB of internal memory, even worse for oldies with only 1GB.

1. If you have no clue what you do, it would be to give the TT back to your friend ;)
2. "but not working" is neither helpful, nor any error message I have seen on a TT before
3. you might want to check the instructions in the map thread and also look at the our tutorials

I assume you wanted to write:
Tried to activate EuropeNorth 900.4602 but no .dct was created

With that in mind you should easily find what's wrong (meta.txt code missing);)

I have the same device and I am waiting to use the 900.4611 maps

Unfortunately there have not been any meta codes for our device maps for the previous two release versions v895 (4447) and v900 (4611)

I currently have v890.4237 installed.

Are you aware that the 4611 maps are Mainly for Carminat.

What area do you need to cover?

I need both UK & Ireland and Australia

I actually have the ONE XL v9 with no SD card option and restricted to 1GB and 32mb RAM.

I tend to only use maps with IQRoutes and ALG only and currently on v880.3865 for both UK and OZ maps.
I have Navcore 9.485XL installed

Can you please recommend map 900 versions for UK and OZ for my device?

Thanks in advance

1. I don't see the logic here, since what you want is not available.

2. 900.4602 for both. The total combined size for both is only 383MB. Delete the ASR folder & cspeech files in both to have IQRoutes and ALG only .

Thanks tendriver

1. I once tried ASR & cspeech maps in the past and they didn't work, so for the past couple of years I've always assumed that the XL v9 was incompatible => just shows my noob status!

2. I put the 900.4602 maps on for both and they work a treat with my newly installed Navcore 9485 (from 8562)

Thanks again :-)

1. It is very possible that the navcore you were running "in the past" was not compatible with the maps you tried. It is always better to ask questions, than assume!!!
2. WTG!!!!

You are Welcome. Enjoy!!

I still can't 'thank you' as I have insufficient privileges......so how about an old fashioned "Thank You for your assistance"
