META

Firstly this isn't a request for a META, it's just a comment.

As most of the 895 maps still havent got META's, what possibilty the new 9.00 maps will have the same issue?

A very high one as nothing has changed on the situation.
We still need users that share their new maps to get the working codes.

We don't know. A lot of it depends on the generosity of our members!! 895 has 173 maps & only 55 meta codes. 900 has 171 maps & after only 4 days since it's release, we have 29 meta codes. At this point, we are way ahead of the 895 meta code postings!!

Thought I read somewhere that TomTom had introduced something that made it harder to extract the META codes, didn't realise it was down to people donating them.

Guess we should give a big hand to those that have.

I just bought TomTom for Android with a map for Europe. This is version 895.4453. I can not find the maps for Android in this forum here. Is there an interest in them? If yes, I could provide the blowfish code, if somebody gives me a quick hint where to find the appropriate program to extract it.

895 maps are outdated and you won't find maps for Android as they come complete with the app.
You can find them in the forum if you look.

Apparently not for Android, because when I look for updates I find that I have the latest map installed. Maybe the 900 maps for Android come later.

I don't have an Apple, so I had to check.
Seems the app stays on the device and that most 900 maps are compatible.
900.4601, 4602, 4605, 4612, 4613 won't work, the 4602 however would work for 1.10 and 1.11.
All other map versions should be compatible and can be activate using FastActivate.
Hope that helps, no idea why our chart is not showing it....

How can I find out the device ID for my Android smartphone as far as TomTom Android is concerned? Under Windows this was easy, but here I can not find it.
