So I received a TT One XL last week from a friend. Normally I managed to update Navcore and Map without a problem, but this time seems to be different.

On the SD card (NON-SDHC, 1GB), I installed a new Navcore (from Universal Navcore Installer) and patched it with Fastactivate. Next I started the tomtom to create the .bif file. After that I shut it down and put the map Benelux 940.5963 on it (which should be compatible with 9.510) and patched it. All seems to be fine with no errors. However, when inserting the SD card back in the TomTom and launching it, it says: You can't use this map on this navigation system: Benelux-100198.

Can anyone help me to resolve this problem?

1. OK. At this point, is the SD card in the unit or in a card reader?
2. OK.
3. It appears that in point 1 you put the 9.510 navcore on a SD card. Then in points 2 & 3, It appears that you put the 5963 map on the One XL internal memory. If this is correct, then that is you problem. The entire setup must either be on a card or on the internal but not both.
4. Depends on point 3.

I think what Tendriver is trying to say is that Navcore and map should be on the SD card together with the created .bif file.
The XL can have them on internal memory too but can't access internal and SD memory at the same time.
And why did you patch the Navcore? It was already patched...
Do you have a .dct file in your map folder?
Did FastActivate give any error message?

Thank your for your reply. The map is together with the navcore on the same SD card. I know that TT can't access the internal memory and the SD card on the same time.

I had to patch the navcore because the XL displayed the message that the installed SD card wasn't an official one and wouldn't start TomTom. After patching it did start the programm normally.

No error messages were showed when patching map or navcore with FastActivate.

Yes, there was a DCT file in chart's map. However, I was doing this on a Windows 10 laptop. After turning to a Windows 8 computer all went fine. Why didn't I think of that one sooner.
