Problem with TT One XL

Postby totojetable » Mon Oct 27, 2014 4:11 pm

Hello allo navitotal users ,

Currently, i have a TT One Xl with navcore version 8.010
I wanted to add the map Europe_Central_920_5243 [920Mo] to my TT.
I use the automatic installer and patcher pack for that , but when i launch the TT after the process i only have a red cross on my TT screen and no possibility to use it.
My map is patched (i see the Europe_Central-852.meta and Europe_Central-852.meta.dct files )
What is the solution ?

Thank you in advance

Devico info :
DeviceName=TomTom ONE XL
DeviceVersionHW=ONE XL
DeviceSerialNumber=L1xxxxxxxxxx
BootLoaderVersion=53026
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8010
ApplicationVersion=9369
CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0

Map(s):
D:\Europe_Central_920_5243\

Storage:
Size 957MB, Free 18MB

Why 920 and not newer version?
You chose map with cspeech files you can't use.

Do you use sd memory card? How big is it? Bigger than 2 Gb you need higher bootloader.
Did you copy all files and folders from internal to external memory?

Possibly you deleted more than just old map folder.

The solution is quite simple. You map is patched, but your navcore isn't. Use FastActivate option 3 to patch it.

Well, with a non-patched nc I would not expect to see a red cross at start-up.

Well, with a non-patched nc, a red cross at start-up is exactly what you see.

I would expect a "no maps found" message with a non-patched nc.

A red cross I would expect when inserting a 4 GB sdcard in a device with a lower Bootloader or a storage disk without essential nc files.

"920" because that's the last map compatible with the 8010 navcore version of my TT
I am not using sd card , it's the internal memory of the TT One XL (960 Mo)

I already use fastactivate to fix my problem but i when i patch the navcore , nothing change.
Before the map transfer in the internal memory of the TT i update him and keep the files needed for the TT to work

Red cross at start-up usually means that your ttsytem file is not present in the root of your memorycard.

Did you, for some reason delete this file?

To keep it simple in this forum, memory card or external memory refers to a SD/SDHC card only.
Internal memory or internal storage is self explanatorry.

Be that as it may, but the appearence red cross could originate from a faulty or missing navcore.
