He was probably in over his head, but it will be okay.

We've been getting all files together and will execute tonight.
We've all been there once, so I don't mind helping him along.

He was thinking too lightly about it and was not ready for the NT regime or approach.
Although don't take that wrong, It's a effective and efficient approach.

thanx for the auto-installing navcore 485 downunder ;-) works great on this tomtom xl with iqroutes. it needed some adjustment on the map since Benelux_905_4754 map didnt work at first but after patching it did ok. many thanx for you guys hard work ! now let me do my part on the kid hehe

might wanna adjust the auto-installer for 905 maps as its not working concerning the activation.

2. i used 9.485_Installer.exe from downunder35m which worked great on 2 tomtom, 1 tomtom xl iqroutes and 1 tomtom eclipse II
using Europe Central 905.4754_Installer.part1.exe (part 2..3..4. etc) it installs but doesnt activate automaticly
using Benelux 905.4754_Installer.exe same thing it doesn activate.
after using latest 4-4-2013 fastactivate it works ok
the other activator doesnt work either.. refuse to update quickgps and activate.

I really need help. My tomtom is not working anymore. I copied all files before starting. Its a tt xl with navcore 9.465 and i tried to put map 905.4754. Tried fa and get me but nothing.

Could you define: not working anymore.

You know what you file is created when succesfully applying FA to new map?

1. Is your 9.465 navcore patched.
2. When you downloaded the 905.4754 map, did you confirm that it had a meta code directly below it. No meta code = NOT USABLE. If there was a meta code, then put a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file & FastActivate 04.04.2013 in the unzipped map folder. Run FA to patch the map. A successfully patched map will have a .meta.dct file in it's folder.

the fa i have is from july 2012 but i have a meta code but no option to update my fa's meta code is coming up?
my home and navcore are patching but not my map, i have created a meta.txt file in the map folder as well
this map is not compatible with this device blah blah blah, i deleted the original uk map and put the new one in the root folder instead

So you didn't read post 24, point 2!!!

I copied the ttgo file too

in the root folder i have my downloaded map inside that folder i have a fa but its date says july 2012 even though have in the same folder a ttgo.bif file and the meta.txt which has 'FF 37 4C 01 3F DB D1 E0 D4 E6 D9 E3 FC A4 7E B9 United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-710.meta ; UK_and_RoI_905_4754' written inside but still nothing

'No nothing' is also valid for the info you pick up from tendriver's advices.

Please tell me from scratch how to do this and where? Should I delete everything on the tomtom and copy everything back onto it from scratch, then please tell me step by step instructions, including where to download everything from. I would be ever so grateful. Thanks a lot
