TomTom 930 Europe Maps

Hello,

I am new to the forum, and it looks like I need to ask for your help. There are just enormous amount of information out there on the forum, I do not know what to do. I was trying to download a European map for my TomTom Go 930 device, which has 9510 navcore. At first I tried to download through the "Europe 930_5604 with Automatic Installer and Patcher" link, and also through other links too, but none of them seemed to work. Or probably I did a mistake... Can someone help? Can someone provide links, which I could use? Reading through all night the tutorials, now I am even more confused. I really do not know which maps should I download to my device. Also, I do not know how to download these maps. Could someone help me?

Tour GO 930 does not need a 930 map. A v930 map is a version nummer. You'll want a full featured v970 map. That one is most recent. You are advised ti study rhe map version table before you start downloading.

Thank you, finally I have found some earlier suggestions also from you. According to that I have checked what TomTom Home would suggest, it was version 965.7250, so I already started to download those. Thanks again!

You are on the right track. You can download uploads from NaviTotal or (faster) from my map collection Zippyshare uploads.

It's not automatic patcher & installer but if you have read a bit and downloaded FastActivate it won't be any problem.

Razorblatter, when I tried to install the new map called Europe_965_7250 on my SD card, it looked like everything is OK, however, when I want to use it my device sends me an error message of stating that I cannot use this map on my device. Is there a very prompt step by step instruction how to install a new map? I mean for you guys, who know so much about this, probably small details are clear, but for someone, who never dealt with this, it could be more difficult. For example do I need to delete the previous map, or what should I do with that? When I used FastActivate.exe, I just clicked on each order, and it was working by itself. Do I need to do anything else? I am sorry for the very basic questions, but I am stuck, I do not know what I should do...

Use options 2 and 3.
It might be necessary tot restart your device before you patch the map. If you patch the map, look at the output message. Does FastActivate confirm that the map is patched?

Yes, in general you will want to delete the old map but if it's in another map folder (and maybe another region or country) it can be kept as long as you have enough storage capacity on your device.

You will find info about the update procedure many times here on NT but you really don't need to do anything special. And you already have the best 9.510 navcore.

Razorblatter thank you for your response, but I am still struggling with the same problem.
When I use option 3 (after option 2) I receive this message:

"File missing - < ttsystem or PNDNavigator >
Press any key to continue..."

Then I press a key, then I choose to quit and reboot my device, but I keep receiving an error message, when I want to use the installed Europe map. It says that: "There is a problem with this map. You cannot use this map on this device. Europe - 100654."

I downloaded these files from navitotal, but now I am really confused about that what else I could do:

Do you think there is a problem with these map files?

At the moment I have a Western and Central Europe, and a North America 2 GB map on my device. Both of them 835.2419 versions. Navcore is 9.510.

I am still downloading the USA and Canada map 965.7250 (it goes very slowly), but now I am thinking about to download a version 970 European map too. Is that a problem if the USA and Canada map will be an earlier version, but the European one a newer one?

I would be so happy to find a solution, which is working. I would appreciate any help.

Two maps, two versions, no problem.

Well, the error is clear enough. The root of your device does not contain one or both of the files and therefore your navcore cannot be patched.

Did you do anything to the folders and files on the TT? Everything except old map folders?
Can you correct this?
Or..did you install on a SD card? In that case you need to patch NavCore, option 3, on TT's drive and close FA.
Copy ttgo.big to SD card drive and patch maps, option 2, on SD card drive.
Take notice for FastActivate's messages or check for meta.dct files in map folders.

Tell us what steps you took.

Thanks for your response. Finally by accident, I could solve this problem. I removed the SD card, and ran FastActive option 3 from the internal memory, it helped. Now, I was able to use the new map. Thank you very much for your support. I appreciate it.

Europe_965_7250 & USA and Canada 965.7250 are superseded by Europe 970.7466 & USA and Canada 970.7466.

Thanks for the information. I already changed the Europe_965_7250 for the one you have suggested. Also I will change the USA and Canada too, just I need to download those files. By any chance could you please explain that how I could download this file:
