Hello all NaviPros
I need some help with my old Tomtom unit.
According to Tomtom's homepage i do have a 'ONE 2nd Edition'
When I check with TomTom HOME it says I can use Map: Scandinavia_930_5601 but it diden't work
The last time I uppdated I used Scandinavia_885_4058 and that one worked. I do have
[email protected]I need to know what is the latest Navecore I can use and what Map is the latest that I can use with that Navcore?
What would feel best for me is if I could delete all data on the unit and go from scratch, is that possible?
Thanks for your support!

You only need 4 things on the card.
1. A navcore.
2. A map folder.
3. A copy of your device's ttgo.bif file.
4. A copy of FastActivate.exe.
Run FastActivate Option 2 to patch your map & Option 3 to patch the navcore.
Disconnect & reboot. Done.

To add a bit more information:
Put the sd-card into the device.
It it's larger than 2 GB you'll need to use a higher bootloader (>= 5.022) so that your TT will accept 4 GB or more.
Start the TT with the empty sd-card.
It will fail but will write a ttgo.bif file onto the sd-card.
Connect the device with TT home and it will install a navcore.
After installing it, the device will have to restart.
Do this untill TT Home no longer offers a new navcore.
Next you can install a map which you want (following the instruction on navitotal.com) and will fit onty your sd-card.

Did you patch the navcore?

If you get this error it means you did not install correctly.
Please provide ALL the information on what you did and where your files and folders are located.

Please run this little program & post your results here:
TomTom Current Configuration {13.11.2011}

1. Have a 2GB blank SD Card and put in device
2. Installed latest TT HOME 2.9.8.3669
3. Connected TT via USB and allowed TT HOME to install and update
4. Downloaded UK & I map from ‘Downunder guy’ - had meta data log underneath it.
5. Downloaded Universal Navcore Installer
6. Opted for and installed 9.510 for the XL series
7. Downloaded the latest Fastactive

NO MAPS FOUND )=

Your ttgo.bif does not indicate navcore 9.510.
So you are doing something wrong.
Are you aware that internal and sd-card are not communicating and that you must install software on sd-card?
When sd is present, TT boots from sd.

This is a very vaild point!
The XL can't access internal and SD memory at the same time like the Go models.
This means you need a Navcore, ttgo.bif, map folder and of course FastActivate on the SD to get going.
If you install the Navcore on the internal memory and the map(s) on the SD without a Navcore nothing will work together.

Do you have a step by step script for my device that I can follow. This really should not be so complex surely?
Sun May 10, 2015 5:50 pm
It is not that complex and you already have been given a step by step list.
Make sure that you are installing the correct drive. You can check by looking at the total available storage.
Make sure your TT boots with the sd inside of it otherwise the ttgo.bif will not get updated.
