Postby spaceship9876 » Thu Mar 09, 2017 3:43 pm

Hi guys, i need some help updating my Tomtom one 3rd edition 500mb storage, 32mb ram, no SD card slot. I bought this 2nd hand with hacked maps already installed but they are around 2yrs old i think. I'd like to update whatever bootloader, software and maps to the latest for my device. I have downloaded the latest fastactivate btw and updated that. I have installed tomtom home 2.10 too.

Here are my details:

ttgo.bif:
DeviceName=TomTom ONE
DeviceVersionHW=ONE (v7)
DeviceSerialNumber=Y3xxxxxxxxxx
BootLoaderVersion=55022
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8010

CurrentMap=United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_945_6243
CurrentMapVersion=945.6243

Map(s):
G:\United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_945_6243\

Storage:
Size 488MB, Free 269MB

Here is a photo of my bootloader info:

The bootloader is ok so for now I'd just download United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland 985.8211 from one of the links here which will get it up & running with the latest map.

Once that's done, you can backup the device and experiment with a newer navcore that has been specially modified for older devices like yours....I'm sure Holyhead will be willing to help with that.

So if you want to experiment with a newer navcore

Make an backup from the Device.
Delete everything on the Device

* Use 9.510 DSA 32MB ram.
[Please Register or Login to download file]
Download and unpack place Folders and Files on the One
--
1) Reset The Device (minimal 15 sec) and start it till the announcement "No map found"
--
2) Choise United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland 985_8158
maps-v9xx-f179/all-new-maps-985-t19579.html
--
3) Copie the chosen map to your Device SD Card in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.
--
4) Copy "FastActivate.exe" to your TomTom device root (internal or SD Card).
noref.php?url=http://linkcrypt.ws/dir/m24dq269u7183k4
Run "FastActivate.exe".
Select 1
Select 2
Done

upgraded to navcore 9.501, the new maps holyhead suggested and updated postcodes. Works perfectly although when you update quickgpsfix it gives you 2 options of chipset, the one v3 and v7 (not sure which mine is) are not listed under the SIRF option even though it has a SIRF 3 chipset as shown in the photo of the bootloader. I chose the other one which wouldn't let me connect to satellites stably so i had to delete everything and start again but choose SIRF this time.

Thanks for your help guys!
