Please, which map is newest for this device? I tried Central_and_Eastern_Europe_975_7689 or Central_Europe_East_980_7971, and TomTom said me, it's incompatible

TomTom HOME has no upgrade of navcore, is 8.083 the newest?

Only with a meta availble you can use the map. No meta no use of the map

Oh, my fault! But is really map compatible with my device? There is no Navcore Version 8.083 in table of compatibility - there is only 8.06x

Then you can use 8.0XX

Look at the chart Horizontal the navcores
In your case the 8.083 so the 8.0xx

Then vertical the Green Y
To the left, the maps wich can be used with the navcore
To the right wich features the map have. Those features only have use if your device supports them.
i.e the One has no microphone so a map wich support it has no use
At least there must be a meta for the map. So no meta the map has no use at all.

But there is no Navcore version 8.0xx, there is only 8.06x! Look at the table.

And don,t forget (post 2) no meta then you can,t use the map.

You even has not looked at post 2 i think there is a link to the 980 meta codes. You seems to have your own agenda so good luck.

1) Make a backup of your Device and delete the map.

Copie the chosen map to your Device in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the loose files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.

2) Copy "FastActivate.exe" to your TomTom device in the root
noref.php?url=http://linkcrypt.ws/dir/m24dq269u7183k4
Run "FastActivate.exe".
Select 2 and 3
Wait for the announcement navcore Patched.

There is only one, which is Central_and_Eastern_Europe_975_7748 and you can download it from [Please Register or Login to download file]

Once downloaded, follow holyhead's instructions above.

Hold on...it looks like Popeye's made a mistake somewhere as it should be around 900MB

Finally! Amazing! 975.7748 is in device and works correctly! Thank you very much.

Still have problem with copy files - it's too slow. This is problem with bootloader 5.5136. Is possible to upgrade it?
