After I lost my TomTom backup I've tried to re-instate it but can not find a reliable navcore.
I've tried the original 8.010 (downloaded from here), but it doesn't work (does nothing). The download seems to be small and doesn't have many folders in it. I can get navcore 9.430 working, but is painfully slow and sometimes resets itself.
I am trying now to get 8.414 working, but it locks up as soon as you touch the screen after boot-up (same result with navcore 8.56).
Throughout I have used the UK map 910.4952 as this is what the TomTom site reports as the latest update for the device.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

1. Let TT Home install the navcore. You may have to run Update My Device several times to get to the current version. Once the updating is complete, patch navcore & map with FastActivate.
2. You have the correct map.

I have a Tomtom One v6 too, currently running navcore 8.010
I would like to update my map, if I read correctly what you wrote, I can stay using Navcore 8.010 and use UK & Ireland map 910.4952 ?

Hi,
I tried doing this but when I turn on the TT it asks me to select the map (only one in the list), and then gives me a message saying that I cant use that map, sorry I dont have exact message as I reverted back to a previous version of navcore with an old map.
Do you have any step by step instructions or guide me to a site which has this?
Thanks for your help dude.

910 maps are out of date. 925.5439 is the current Edition for your unit.

Install TT Home and update your device.(1x, 2x or 3x)
Control navcore version number or click purchase map on Tomtom Home and control appropriate map version number
The two maps having meta files...
Download United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland 930_5601 (Navcore 7 or 8) NO Features
or
Download United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland 930_5563 (Navcore 9) FULL Features
In my opinion use the original navcore...
Success

Current official navcore for your 520 is 9.510.
Current UK map for your 520 is UK & ROI 930.5563.

You don't need TT Home to tell you what version map you can use. A 530 always uses the most detailed full featured map that is in each Edition.
You don't need search online for a map version, we have everything you need right here on Navitotal!!
