The up to date equivalent of your current map is United States 960.7075 or United States 960.7075_1GB that you can download from
hereAlso download
FastActivate and the latest
SpeedCam files
Move your old map to your desktop and then extract the new map to the root your device
Next, extract the relevant SpeedCam files
into the new map folder on your device (use your old map's SpeedCams as a guide)
Extract FastActivate to the root of your device and run it selecting options 2 then 3, once completed disconnect and reboot it...job done

Not sure if United States960.7075_1GB file will fit I do need the red light camera for sure. I'm in Texas now. I will download and do this tonight thank you for the help. I will update you once I get it done.

Both United States 960.7075 and United States 960.7075_1GB are 915MB. It will be a tight squeeze at best!!!!

But, as a side remark, you can opt to leave out the poi.dat file if you need the (current) map and have few concerns about the POI data.

I have backed up every thing and have started downloading the map about 2 more hours before it's done downloading.

Ok I've tried rebooting the gps to let it create the ttgo.bif and ttsystem but it won't. What do I do now?
Tue Jan 12, 2016 9:06 am
You seem to have deleted the whole navcore and erroneously put the map in the root?
You need the navcore!
Didn't you pay attention to the message output of fastactivate?
TTgo.bif is created if navcore is present, not ttsystem.
Your are failing on the procedural side of the exercise.

No, as Razorblatter has already pointed out, you've deleted the navcore (operating system) from the device so you need to restore your backup and start again.
1. restore your backup and confirm that it's working as it was before with the old map
2. browse to the root of the device in windows explorer and find the old map folder, it's only one folder and will be called 'united_states' or something similar and will contain files called cline.dat, cname.dat etc
3. move that one folder to your desktop and replace it with the new map folder that you have downloaded & extracted. Note that you are only moving folders, not files....one old map folder out of the device and one new map folder in.
4. next, extract the relevant SpeedCam files into the new map folder on your device (use your old map's SpeedCams as a guide)
5. then extract FastActivate to the root of your device and run it selecting options 2 then 3, once completed disconnect and reboot it...job done
