TomTomONE update - Totally don't know how. Pls help :)

Hi All,

Im just boring to use the gps of my mobile, and would like to upgrage my TomTom One (new edition) which was used last in 2007.

I refreshed the device vita TomTomHome. It shows there is v.1.21, but the map version is v.652
I have the original TomTom installment on a 200mb SD card.
I have a 2GB SD (not SDHC) card.
Just downloaded "TomTom.Maps.of.Europe.East.945.6174.Retail-NAViGON" there is also a meta data at the info file (which i dont really know when and where must is use)

I was reading here that i only need to copy of the content of the new map (maps of europe.east in this case) to sd card.
So after formatting my 2gb SD i copied
1. content of the new map,
2. fast activate software
3. all the content of the original 200mb sd card

After ran the Fastactivate, pushed option 2 after 3, showed its patched already, but there is no changes at the map version of my gps....so still the old.

Can anyone help me in detail how to solve this problem, or do it step-by-step?

We don't support maps downloaded from a third party for quality reasons.

Maps are navcore specific, not device specific so before you can begin to update your TomTom you'll need to run this tool and post back the results...after that we can continue

I just found here :NC 9.510 . I installed the 32mb version to the sd card of the TomTom One.

So you need to check that the map you're going to download already has a meta code released and is therefore usable. Don't miss this step or you'll be wasting your time.

Download your chosen map from here and use FastActivate to activate using the instructions provided on the page.

Try TomTom Home, Voices
