Hi,
I have a tomtom go 520 with navcore 9.510, which means its supported with any map on the chart.

I have patched my navcore and maps however when I start the device it says you cannot use this map on this device.

The map im using is:
Europe_West_930_5563 [1412MB] OR
Europe_West_930_5563 with Automatic Installer & Patcher
;Europe_West_930_5563
13 46 81 62 08 36 BF 81 49 C0 83 C5 BB 5D 06 1C Europe_West-910.meta

I got it working fine with Europe_1GB_West_930_ 5601, but when I try the 5563 version it gives me the error.

What am I doing wrong?

This is the classic message, when a map is not patched. Look for a .meta file & a .meta.dct file in the Europe_West_930_5563 folder. No .meta.dct file = map not patched. If it is not patched, then use FastActivate to patch it.

Map definitely is patched. both files are there and I also tried removing it and patching again.

Sorted it. Have no idea what the problem is. But I formatted tomtom and started from fresh, looks like something was interfering

what is your tomtom bootloader version?

The best method for your device:

1. format your device (fat32)
2. update your device with tomtom home (a few times)
3. copy fast activate and your map file inc speedcams to tomtom (Europe West 930.5563)
4. start fast activate and use 1,2 and 3
5. restart your device
6. connect your device to computer and update your device with tomtom home (map-share)
7. Restart your device

Finish

You have now Up-to-date Tomtom
