Let me introduce my self. My name is Saran. Finally, I have found this site via google . My tom tom device need a update because the map that I am using is 855. I have a TomTom XL and it has 978 mb storage with West Europe. Now I want to update but which map can I use? It must be under 978 mb.

Plz can some1 help me?

Welcome to Navitotal. There is nothing in 925 {the current edition} or 920, that is small enuf for your unit. I suggest you look thru the older Editions in the "Old Map Archive" until you find a map [the sizes are included] that you can use.

Confirm that your XL does not have a SD card slot!!

Map version number is for your device 5439.

First update your device with Tomtom Home and full backup to computer and delete old map from Tomtom.

1 - Download latest map Europe Central 925.5439. This map for 1gb tomtom models. (England, Ireland, Finland & Iberia not in)

Extract rar. Copy Europe_Central_925_5439 paste in Tomtom


2 - download latest speedcams

3 - download latest postcodes

Extract rar, copy zip file, paste in tomtom and delete in the zip folder England and Singapore files)

4 - download latest fastactivate

Extract rar. Copy and paste in Tomtom and click 1, 2 and 3. Start Tomtom.

Saran referred to West Europe, not Europe Central!!

European central is also good. Must have is Netherlands. I am going to start now. Hopefully It will do in 1 time.

By fastactive I have clicked 3 and it ask me to enter your tomtom device/sd card drive letter. Where can I find this? And it also says that ttsystem or PNDnavigator is missing.

Win7: Click start, click computer. You see now c, d, e or f and Tomtom. Write on fastactivate tomtom drive letter.

Voices? I think I am doing it wrong. I see no voice maps in tomtom

Ty Kaspersky. It's working now. I thought I need to delete all the maps from my TomTom. That's why it was not working. Tyvm for the help and the maps.
