[HELP] "You cannot use this card on this GPS"

Thu May 14, 2015 4:28 pm

Hi, I just flashed a new navcore version : 9.510 which seems to be compatible with every 945.xxx cards

Here's the info given by fastactivate :

Code:
ttgo.bif:
         DeviceName=TomTom XL
         DeviceVersionHW=XL
         DeviceSerialNumber=RCxxxxxxxxxx
         BootLoaderVersion=10012
         ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9510
         ApplicationVersion=1234792.103
         CurrentMap=
         CurrentMapVersion=0.0

Map(s):
         I:\France\

So, I previously had Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB 840.2561 integrated into the device.
I downloaded France 940.5993 because all newer link with france on 945 maps are corrupted.

When I reboot the device patched the map with Fastactivate I've this message
Code:
You cannot use this card on this GPS : France 100207

Could you help me ??? :bs_quesexclaim:

1. What indication are you getting that the 945 map links are corrupt?
2. Look for a .meta.dct file in the France 940 map folder to confirm that the map is patched.

Corrupt files are usually the result of a bad download connection but in no way an indicator that the map files are indeed bad.

The 945 maps aren't corrupted but many links are dead.
I've France-100207.meta.dct in my tomtom in the France folder

It is a Filefactory issue that is happening for over 3 weeks now.
I lost some files too without any warning.
They claim on server works, which is fine, but a lot of links get lost in the process or for some weird reason the user is greeted witha message that file was lost from the server and need to be uploaded again.
I contacted FF in this regard but their answer is as usefull as tits on a bull:
We are sorry for the loss of your files but you can upload them again at any time.

ja567 is a downloader, not an uploader.

I was getting the same error... check if the map folder and all of the files aren't marked as read-only... mine were and it was driving me crazy.

I looked at several maps & none of them had Read Only or Hidden checked.
