hello yikes,

I would be very interested in the same link that everyone else had been asking you for.
Or maybe someone else can send it to me so I don't have to bother you for it.

Can anyone help me out please?

thank you

burn it at the slowest speed you can stand

also since i ripped this disk with imageburn in the background......
i recommend using imageburn to burn it...
imageburn is freeware

im suprised verbatims didnt work for you...you are the second person that has said this so far. i have left my original in its case and use a copy myself. verbatims worked for me using imageburn to burn it and at the slowest speed i was allowed.

also one other thing you may NOT want to hear. since your car came without a disk, it means you may not have never seen it work. its possible that your unit is broke.
if all things fail, go to a dealer and borrow an original disk...just to see if your mcsII comand works properly

who has burned this image of mine successfully?

Yeah, i burned it with imageburn at 2.4X. I believe that's the slowest you can get. I'll try getting the original and see if it works. What are the options if it won't work with original? Is that the lens or smth? the entire unit will have to be replaced?

im not sure if the dvd portion of the mscII can be repaired, but im guessing anything can be fixed if youre willing to pay

[Please Register or Login to download file] says they can fix most anything if you have to go that route

btw, these units arent easy to find. took me over several years to find one brand new for my wifes car and was lucky enough to get it for like $1000. some guys want a premium price for their used one....

one other thing...did all your files pass sfv? the last guy that said this did not work for him also had many files fail sfv

Sat Mar 23, 2013 3:44 pm

All files checked out ok, so SFV is fine((( I checked already ebay and yeah, they are expensive. Will take a trip to a dealer to try the original DVD but afraid it'll just confirm my worst fears. **** Mercedes!!!! I told my wife not to buy it since there's bunch of problems that people have with them...yet she got it!
oh well.....

just found on the net some info stating that starting 2008 ml series (also other models) with a face lift screen Alpine Navigation units have some kind of protection that will render all copies useless unless you have original DVD. Copies will work on earlier models just fine but not on tilting screens. Can smbd confirm that? Did anybody try successfully running a copy on a tilt screen (the one that slides down and exposes dvd slot) Thanks

not sure what you mean by tilted screen but my wifes mcsII dvd and cd player is behind the lcd screen. the screen slides forward to expose the 2 slots. if i remember right the top one is for the dvd nav disk and the bottom one is for cds.

she has a 2007 c-280 but this is not the original comand that came with this car. it originally came with just a cd player. i bought the mcsII in ebay from euro-customs new for $1000, so i really dont know what year this mcsII came from.

here's the quote from benzworld forum:
I don't think that Benzworld support warez, but you've just discovered the internet?
MB has taken measures now.

On the facelifted ML (alpine units), the update can be made only at dealer, so no more pirated copies.
On pre-facelift ML (Becker units), you can use copy discs

correct me if im wrong but arent all the mcsII alpine units?

i saw the post you are referring to...the poster is in romania...is it possible that the europeans uses a different comand?

i know they did use an mcsII but im not sure if they changed afterwards. i do know that the maps for the euro mcsII comands wouldnt not play the NA nav disks without extensive finagling

PM me the DVD link?
