Help with Mio C320 unlock

I'm trying to help a friend. I don't have the device in my hand to test it.
I've seen a few threads here about this device, but I'm not sure about the file structure on the device. It is not the same as in the unlock solution. So if it's not the same, how would it work?

Which of the following would be the first to test?
Mio 3.3 unlock modified for use w/ Primo2
My 3.3 internal Flash drive with the Mio unlock already cont(What is missing in the rest of the title?)

Or maybe I need to use Xtyler92's "SD-Free unlock"? If I do, who can re-upload it for me? (BTW, what is the meaning of "SD-Free Unlock"?)

My good friend filesupload100 was able to get in touch with me and asked for my help with this thread. So here goes - I hope this works.

For every ones' information, not all Mio C320 devices are created equal. What I mean by that is the C320 in Israel was created differently. Its name, if I remember correctly, is the Mio C320b. The standard C320 unlock will not work properly. It is probably due to the software that makes it work. I learned this information many years ago from my good friend and colleague Xtyler92 when we were both moderators here and elsewhere. He and I then produced an unlock that should work with the device.

You want this unlock mio-device-unlock-f140/mio-unlock-modified-for-use-primo2-t8816.html First, backup ALL your internal device's folders/files to a safe place in case there's a problem. Next delete everything from the C320's internal disk. The copy/paste ALL the files/folders from the download above to the C320 internal disk. Completely shutdown your device, wait a few seconds and re-start. The device will look it starts as before, but when you touch "MioMap", the unlock opens.

SD-free means that the unlock is on the device's internal drive and not the SD card. Therefore the unlock works a little bit faster.

Since I have to explane to my friend (by phone/mail) what's going on, what is "the unlock opens"? What will happend then? What he'll see when it happens? What should he do?
Apart from the unlock procedure, I need to tell him to copy Primo2 to the SD card (Primo2 folder and Primo2.exe)?

What is meant by the unlock opens is that when you press MioMap a black screen [not blank screen] appears with the different nav programs available. Tell him to press NavNGo [maybe it's NNG] and the different iGO programs appear. All he needs to do is to press whatever program he wants to use. The program then opens up. Tell him to make sure the .exes are either igo8.exe for iGo8 and Primo2.exe for Primo. Yes, the programs go on the SD card.

Oh, so this unlock is not only for Primo2? I can tell him to put iGO8 as well (on separated folders)?

Since I have a C320 and I helped create the best unlock that the members use here, please come back a little later today and I'll update the link. Can't do it right now.

i would try to understand something:
after unzipping the file, i have 2 folders (menu & primo) & 3 files (+ the txt file).
in the menu folder, i have folders & files
in the primo folder i have a sys.txt file
in the "5.Mio c520 (SD_TT+Igo_simple).txt" it's written:
2. Download and extract Primo
   Place the loose files and folders in the Primo folder on the SD card
   Question Overwrite files the answer is NO.
i don't unterstand that point.

You said that you have igo primo 2.0, That means you don,t have to download Primo.
Download and extract Primo
Place the individual files and folders in the folder Primo on the SD Card
   On the question replace files the answer is NO.
I also suppose that between those files there is a Primo.exe file.

i've thought about that when wakin' up this morning "it should be my existing file !!!!"

nothing works !
neither holyhead nor chass521 files.
i've erased all the files from the internal memory (after had saved on my pc)
when restarting the device (after a wait of 10-15")i have a screen with 3 icons:
miomap, audio, & settings.
the miomap icon doesn't work (maybe, cause there's no map)
the two others works well
if i restart, i have the mio orange screen, & then the 3 icons.
after installed chass521's (1 files & 3 folders) i got 4 files & 5 folders.
what do i wrong?
