Need to unlock MIO MOOV 500

Postby dannyu » Sat Mar 10, 2012 4:59 pm

Hi All,

I need to unlock a MIO MOOV 500 device.
I've tried the VISUAL package but it didn't work.
I'd appreciate any tip about the best way to do it.

Thank you,
Danny

When you say "didn't work", could you be more specific?

thanks, fatboyfun

when I say it didn't work I mean that I copied the files required
onto the root of the SD card + put all the files needed to be in the
FLASH memory of the MOOV 500 and it kept on booting as it used to be (i.e. boot and invoked miomap 2008 rather than showing the
visual screen etc.).
I may have used an older version, so maybe I need to download
the latest one, or do something else.
Any suggestions?

Thank you

With Moov's you need to use installation method C

http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?1227-Visual-Mio-unlock-shell

[Please Register or Login to download file]

If you have Mio Moov:

* open \My Flash Disk\Program Files\MioMap\appstartupsec.ini in editor

* change the lines:
RelativePath=TRUE
ProcessFile=Program Files/MioMap/MioMap.exe
to
RelativePath=FALSE
ProcessFile=\\..\\My Flash Disk\\Visual.auto\\auto.exe
* save

on taiwanese Moov 500:
* open \My Flash Disk\Program Files\System\processmgr.ini in editor
* change the original line to:
apcall00 = \My Flash Disk\Visual.auto\auto.exe
