Thanks to Fatboy and others who have contributed. My moov A430 has been resurrected. Had a few issues getting the file path right for the shortcut then the autorun on start-up but figured it out in the end.
Changed baud to 4800 from 57600 port set at 2 and deleted autorun.mcsr before it would finally aquire satellites but it's all good now.
