Hi Fatyboyfun and fellow members you are doing great on this enlightening forum. This is my first post so bear with me.

I need help with guidelines to unlock and install Tomtom on a Mio Navman M300. I have done a few Tom tom Satnavs upgrade and IPhones JBs but not on a Navman satnav. Kindly point me in the direction of the best navcore to run on the Navman M300 basically for map with speedcams for my Old Boy. Please help since his M300 is slow asking for map update .

At the moment I have only Backup the device and created a SFX file for it. I unlocked the M300 (the setup indicates UNLOCKED) using your links and simplified instructions thanks for that. After placing the needed Navigator, Map with speedcam and FastActivate in the root of the M300 and safely remove using the usb icon when I ejected M300, run the tomtom navigator.exe through the start, FileManCE then the error Tomtom navigator is not a valid Windows CE application so I did not even get to hear any complain.

I used the UPXShell from your link on the totom navigator.exe but still no joy.
I am missing something or wrong files please help me get my Old boy satnav as mine. Many thanks

Mio Navman M300 with WinCE 5 Core sticker on manual
Model: N254
Conneted to Windows Ultimate 7 SP1

NRT has an alternative version for M300's that I keep meaning to add to the guide but never get round to, I'm sure he'll see this and contact you shortly...

Fatboyfun, NRT and all who helped many thanks you are awesome. Excellent link quick response and really helpful. I am grateful. Tomtom is working on the mio M300 I use a 885.4010 map and did a demo route indoors and it is amazing.

Now if I am not asking too much for Knowledge base. I followed Fatboyfun instruction to the later and used Premium Fastactivate. During the patching process the ttsystem or PND navigator file was missing but there is none in the navigator anyway. Also Tomtom home dll not found since I had not installed Home on that machine.

What could I have done to avoid these minor errors?

Many thanks you put a smile on my old boy's face as well

Many thanks

You might like to do a search for Australia_890_4261 which is the latest map.

ttsystem and pndnavigator are unique to Linux based Tomtom devices and are not used in Tomtom navigator which is windows based, you can use autoactivate which is just for activating maps and voices rather than patching navcores

EDIT: Autoactivate has been discontinued, Use Fastactivate and just use the 'maps/voices/speedcams' button!

I'm trying to install Tomtom on my Mio Moov m301 and I get as far as running the Tomtom Navigator.exe file, but then I get this error "TomTom Navigator is not a valid Windows CE application". What do I do?

Try compressing the exe with upxshell or wait for nrt to offer another version...
