olympus wrote:until now, i am able only to include the notepad and the keyboard as extra applications (in the list with the 8 applications). It would be good to manage to turn the keyboard on when you have opened the document, but i wasn't able to do that.

so, first i have to open the keyboard, and after that I open notepad (inside notepad i choose the file that i want to open/edit), where I can edit the text files.

It's not perfect, but for the moment it's enough :D.

But does the keyboard type? On my moov it doesn't....

it types, but it seems that now it's not working anymore to be launched from the applications list. I have to launch it from the file manager (commander). but it's ok.

one question, pls. I have noticed that you managed to include a "close" button for the spirit.exe application.

Is it possible to include such a button in the Garmin mobile XT for windows CE 5.0? I am asking because I have managed to run Garmin, but when it exists, the device gets blocked, so I have to reset it. maybe with such a button it will not get blocked anymore. or maybe you can find another solution?....

olympus:

Yes, it should be possible, you need to edit the run_nav.mscr script in visual/scripts/navigation folder.

Hard or soft reset?

A hard reset resets everything including the time/date, A soft reset should not.

There are no hard/soft reset on Moov's, only one reset. I think this is hardware problem, only you wouldn't notice it on normal "unlocked" device since time is not displayed anywhere until it gets the fix....

My M400 does not remember the time after a reset, (off) It would need a internal backup battery to keep the clock running.

Normaly my S-505 remembered time after reset before my problem. I managed to solve the problem. In fact it was enough to launch "mio explore more". GPS Fix the date and when i reset it is registered. I think in fact, Need to launch regulary mio more navigator to avoid reset 01/01/2000 1:00 p.m.

Sorry for my english.

Major change is that you can hide/display any pages and make Visual Shell can be as big or as small as you wish: From full blown shell with 10 screens to the simple one-screen shell with all necessary functions on one screen!

Changelog:

=================================================================================
1.12.01
=================================================================================
* added copying of packedEphemeris.ee file from \storage card\ to \windows\ folder and \My Flash Disk\CLM\ during boot
* on some Moovs, contacts.exe is in program files/mioBT folder, added that folder for running contacts.exe in case it is not in program files\contacts\
* completely reworked hiding of pages. now you can select to display or hide any page (except info) plus 2 special single page screens. make your visual as big or small as you like!
* removed some unneccesary bitmaps and reduced unlock size ~400K
* visual.ini parameter HideAppsPages no longer used
* cosmetic changes to info pages (removed "press arrow...", included standard time/battery info, tabs moved to the right, no welcome screen)
* added another screen to sat info (satelite icon on info screen) to display gps speed
* added night background to sat info which is automatically switched with the Visual scheme

Hi,

Thanks for the effort, but having issues with an Australian C520 with MIOMAP 2008.

Did as you suggest for option B install. Couple of observations:
  1. The C520 files need to be in a directory called Mantas405A43_AUS (in my case at least)
  2. The file MIOAutorun.exe or Autorun.exe needs to be reneamed to Auto.exe
  3. Auto.exe causes an exception -- Application Auto.exe has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. If the problem persists etc. Program: Auto.exe Exception 0xC0000005 Address: 03A4E2C8
  4. The log file on the MIO states: sdcard_runExecutable(SmartST_CE - Run()): CreateProcess(\Storage card\Mantas405A43_AUS\auto.exe) Failed
  5. If I use the Auto.exe from the Visual.auto it actually succeeds (ie. the log file say startup succeeded), but the C520 just displays the MIOMAPS system so it's obviously not right.

Any ideas where I go from here??????

Thanks,
Kevin

strange, there must be difference between EU and Australian 520 since I tested it on EU 520 and it worked fine.... maybe you have old/new firmware?
