Install Tomtom Navigator v7.450 and upgrade to v7.9xx

System requirements: WinCE 5.0, WM2003, WM5 or WM6.

First, install Navigator v7.450 for WM5&6 Touch QVGA 320x240
to the device internal memory to avoid potential problems.
Find out your screen resolution and after that you can upgrade
from TTN v7.450 to v7.910/v7.915/v7.916/v7.917/v7.918

*) Maps in the v925.5439 / v926.5479 serie should work fine.

How install TomTom Navigator v7.450

1) Copy the *.CAB file to the root of your PDA and
disconnect you PDA from your PC/LapTop.

2) Open the Explorer on your PDA and run the *.CAB file.
Install the Navigator with default settings on your PDA.

3) Copy the .\zip, .\voices and .\helpme folder to the
root of your SD-Card. (if you don't have use internal)

4) Copy the country map to the root of your SD-Card. (like .\Europe)
(if you don't have use internal)

5) Now, find out your screen resolution and upgrade directly to
TTN v7.910 (replace 2 files 'TomTom Navigator.exe' and 'data.chk')
Later you can install a higher version if necessary.

6) Startup 'Tomtom Navigator' for the first time and close direct
the program. (in the root the file 'ttnavigator.bif' is created)
You can delete now the installation *.CAB file that is in the root.

7) Create with 'TTusers Easytools' a '*.DCT' activation file on your PC or LapTop
for your countrymap and put this file in the 'county folder' on your device.
(open 'ttnavigator.bif" in the root of your device to find out your Device-ID)

8) After the complete installation start 'Tomtom Navigator' and chooce
always the item "Restore Factory Defaults" before you continue!

*) On my HTC-P3470 the v7.910 version works great without problems.
MySettings --> NMEA GPS receiver, baudrate 57600, Com 4)

*) Follow always the 'ReadMe.txt' that is in the *.RAR archive's

I have a wince 6 on my chinese radio car gps 7" ! everybody tell that we can install TT 7.910 !
have you a tutorial to install it

Tomtom doesn't work properly on wince 6, you'd be better off with iGO8 or iGO Primo.

Hi Holyhead. Was trying to re-install TT Navigator on a 'MyGuide 4228'. SD card kept corrupting. Have now found my original copies on an old hard drive. MyGuide now running latest UK & NI 980-7971 with TTN 7.910 on a replaced SD card. I know the MyGuide is ancient and basic but it still works. Have been trying to get my friend to invest in a proper TT (Life would be so much easier) :lol:
