TomTom does not work properly on wince 6, take a look at iGO 8 or iGO Primo, The maps are updated just as often.

Just install IGO on it ;)
Tomtom for CE is as outdated as the CE system itself.
It does not offer any features apart from basic navigation, while Igo offers you spoken street names, easy installation and a lot of options to modify the system.

I have tried IGO Primo but the same don't work crash on installation is not passing from snooper logo and just say "application failed to start last time. Do you want to reset to factory defaults and lose all your pois, tracks and settings?" Or ever I choose Yes or no still is staying there frozen.
Now I just think maybe is locked my device and I need a tool to unlock him.Anybody know a unlock tool please if locked please Pm or post the link.
When I connect the snooper to the PC the only think I see is the SD card so no access to the flash or operating system or folders from the device just access to SD card.
Thank you.

It has nothing to do with "locking", just with the right installation.
Igo is created for various systems and often an "update" is nothing more than a version designed for a device that was added to the support.
In most cases it helps to try different versions, even older ones as the internals barely change.
Also you have to make sure the settings are correct as well as the file and folder paths.
You can modify a lot of things in the config files but start with just the bare basics for your device to get it running.
I suggest to read up on the tutorials to get a better understanding of the procedures involved.

I have read a lot of posts from this forum but unfortunately the links are outdated and removed.
Thanks for your reply.

[Please Register or Login to download file] is a backup from a working device.
You still need to adjust the sys.txt to your need and add a map.
[Please Register or Login to download file] is an old TT CE6 made by Artful.
[Please Register or Login to download file] are several 7.9 versions of TT including a manual.
So there is enough to choose from, if you look in the right places ;)

Hello Downunder35,

I'm trying to unRar one of your files but your password is rejected everytime.
Tried "downunder", "Downunder" and "Downunder35".
Even tried copy/paste "downunder", all rejected.
What am i doing wrong?

thanks

Many thanks for the correct password holyhead, the only problem being, that the files inside the rar all relate to Garmin mobile xt, not Tomtom.

Strange, but it looks like an error in compiling or the title is wrong.
