Most likely not to your satisfaction.
The 300 has only 32mb but to make things worse only a very slow CPU.
IMHO a good choice for a Go300 is the 8.412 of the 8.414.
I posted a 8.414 with support for TTS not long ago, might be working ok.
If worse comes to worse you'd have to remove the folders "ASR" and LoquendoTTS" to speed things up.

Another option is navcore 9.205 for the Rider 3, which is a 3.5" 32MB motorcycle device.

All sound advice, I will check out them both to get a feel for the best one, I only want to use the latest map for the UK - but if a NavCore could work then I am all for giving it a go.
Thanks DownUnder35 and Tendriver

Thanks, that has worked for me. 2 questions though..

UK Map 875.3613 isn't recognised but 860.3100 is. Would you know why?

SD max capacity 2Gb with original bootloader 5.5259, can you advise which is best to use for SDHC compatibility plse?

1. Did you update the keygen meta.txt to include the 875 maps?
2. 5.5259 supports SDHC cards.

If this is in response to #2 in post 6, all bootloaders, 5.5015 & higher, support SDHC cards.

To me, original means what was on the device when it was bought. It wasn't 5.5259. Are you sure 5.5259 is the current installed bootloader?

Well, the full answer is that it was on the device when I was given it but I had no reason to think that it had been updated. Not to worry I will persevere with it and post an update if I fix it. Many thanks for your help tendriver.

Postby szszsz » Fri Sep 02, 2011 6:43 am

Tomtom GO 300 works with SE_Navcore.9.160.567967 (TESTED)

ANY b/l 5.5015 or higher supports SDHC cards of ANY size, unless your current b/l is 1.0100 or 1.0200!!!

Yes, i know that, i jus asked here, to be sure which one to try, i'm afraided to try it before ask here is somebody who tried some of 5.xxx bootloaders on TT GO 300, cause i know that's danger to play with bootloaders, and that can't be downgraded from higher to lower version, once we updated it...

Thanks for info!
