3.6mb free ram
remember for full postcode, get the files, create a folder called " zip " in the root of the sd card, copy the files into it, simples!

It is not necessary to create a folder called "zip". When unzipped, the downloaded Zip.Zip file will create it's own "zip" folder, which is copied to the root of your TomTom or sd card.

I have instaled on ONE XL V9 BLACK EDITION 32MB

the 9.026 runs very slow.
the 9.205 runs better (have 5MB of RAM free) this is normal?

The menus of the navcore 9.205 are great and runs fine on this device, but a little slow.

The search a adress work very slow.....

Hi, I was wondering if the old TomTom One XL patched with a new Navcore (9.205 for example) would accept 4gb SDHC cards. I want to update my old tomtom XL but I just have a 1gb SD card laying around. I know my unit accepts 2gb Sd card but what about 4gb ones?

Yes. Change the bootloader in the current navcore on your 1GB card to bootloader version 5.5015 or higher. Boot the XL to install the new bootloader, then it will accept the larger cards.

IMHO using the new V9 _Navcore on these old devices makes no real sense.
It is more patchwork than something you can actually use on the road every day - exeptions exists of course.
People spend hours and sometimes days to get some V9 working only to find out something is still not good enough.
Again the only "benefit" of some V9 Navcore are the 3pane status bar and the support for HNR - nothing else.
For years there V8 Navcores that are running fine on small devices, even with TTS if you need it.

I can understand that some people always need the latest stuff - but what is more important for navigation, an old device that offers a nice new menu but runs slow and sluggish or something that actually gets you to the destination without reboots and other problems?
And just because a Navcore works fine on someone else's device must not mean it does the same on yours ;)

Thanks for your reply, I really agree with you. I though I needed a 9.X Navcore to have the latest maps with IQ Routes and ALG, but I just saw that 870.3413 maps are compatible with navcore above 8.2
