One of my mates was playing with his TT GO 710 (after I told him about the help I had here to upgrade my TT) and he attempted to install NV 9.510 (64MB) on it. The TT tried to restart and got stuck on start up, then simply hung. I managed to get it to turn off, but now it refuses to even switch back on, I'm now removing the battery to see if I can get it to reboot.

Is there a way to flash the unit without it being plugged in to the laptop? It has an SD card socket etc :)

You can install Navcore and map on a SD card and the TT wil prefer the SD during the boot.
But to activate the map that way you need to start and fully boot the TT first as otherwise there won't be a ttgo.bif file (unless you have a backup of the file).
