I have a TomTOM Go 500 ,can i use one of the new 9 navcores ???

I'm currently uploading some fullbackups, one is for the GO300-700 but it is only a 8.414
You can try the 9.160 too or the 9.058 but you'll have to play around with the emulation settings a bit and I think Loquendo voices won't work well either.
If you want to test the fullbackups, check this section for a corresponding thread in a few hours.

You navcore & map are compatible with each other & your device. How did you install them?

Sun Jan 02, 2011 4:46 pm

1) formated tomtom with window explorer (fat32)
2) SE_Navcore.9.026.483454_32mb_device (all in one installer)
3) copy map over to tomtom (and activate them using "AutoActivate.exe" from tomtom root)

We don't recommend formatting except in extreme cases.
Did you boot your device, before you patched the map?

I know what ALG stands for. Do you know what it does?

I would have chosen 860.3101 instead of 3123.

Sun Jan 02, 2011 5:12 pm

yes i did
boot the device before map patch

P.S.
well, ASL will give you clear picture of which lane you should be in (at junction etc..)

If you dont mind can you please explain what is the difference between 860.3101 and 3123.

Hi,

Dont worry i got it working,

as you said i used 860.3101 this time (i formatted device and started from scratch).

Still if you explain the difference between maps that would be grate.

One more thing there is no sound on device (i have couple of mp3s and TTS Vocalizer voice - Serena)
Is ther solution for this problem?

Thank for your help.
