P.S.
1. well, ASL will give you clear picture of which lane you should be in (at junction etc..)
2. f you dont mind can you please explain what is the difference between 860.3101 and 3123.
Dont worry i got it working,
3. as you said i used 860.3101 this time (i formatted device and started from scratch).
Still if you explain the difference between maps that would be grate.
4.One more thing there is no sound on device (i have couple of mp3s and TTS Vocalizer voice - Serena)
Is ther solution for this problem?
Thank for your help.
1. Correct. I asked about ALG to make a point. ALG is a rarely seen insignificant feature. It is at the bottom of my "Gotta have these features" list for new maps.
2. 3101 is full featured. 3123 does not have cspeech or ASR.
3. As I stated in post 239, we never recommend formatting a unit, except in extreme ases.
4. This is a good exampe of one reason why we don't recommend formatting. We recommend copying new over the old, overwriting any common files. It prevents losing sound etc.
You are Welcome.

Hi,
everything seems to work now.
regarding formating it was due to face that data transfar over usb became painfully slow (as to start with i used SE Navcore 9.205.547817 and it did not worked properly and it took nearly two hour to copy maps) so i thought formating was good option instead of copying over new stuff.
Thank you

Hello, I just downloaded SE_navcore.8.410.1218_32mb_Devices.rar, but cannot extract it because this extraction needs a passcode, can someone tell me what the code is? Thanks.

Hi Tendriver, I just noticed your comment on ALG - Made me wonder whether, if you drove on UK Motorways, you might think differently! I would have thought too, that ALG would be ESSENTIAL for any non-US tourist driving out of somewhere like Atlanta airport!
btw - I've never seen it referred to, but recent 'playing' with a variety of navcores on a range of GO's (x10, x15, x20 & x30) has highlighted an issue with ASR: while earlier navcores (especially 8xxx) score quite low on the 'usability' of ASR, I've noticed that the Command & Control feature in 9.205 is exceptional by comparison, making ASR very useable with that navcore even in a noisy environment. I would not have expected the navcore to make much difference, but it very clearly does. We noticed initially that there were differences in performance using address input by voice when a test list of 'problem' city names were input (Worcester, Leicester, Loughborough etc). The incidence of failure to recognise the city name fell from 90% to 5% (in some cases) using the same map and hardware but by switching to 9.205 Just a piece of info that I figured it might be worth sharing ... even if ASR is not on the wish list either

1. I have done so MANY TIMES.
2. The ATL Airport is very simple, as long as you are driving on the correct side of the road.
3. Thanx for sharing this. I haven't found 9.205 to be any better than any of the other 9s from 9.022 on up. They have all been excellant with names like Hopeulikit, Georgia, Monkey's Eyebrow, Kentucky, Spunky Puddle, Ohio or even Elephant Butte, New Mexico

Hi
Only found this site a few days ago and after a bit of trawling through the posts took the plunge and went for a UK & IE map upgrade, V835 to V860.3126, on my TT One V4. All went well so I am now curious about the navcore.
Current navcore is 8.012 official. If I was to upgrade - just want to prove I can do it - previous posts suggest 8.410 may be a good option but what would the difference/benefit be between this and current 8.012.
Thanks - and what a great site.

With a newer Navcore you use use maps with ALG and IQ Routes for example.
The menu has a better look and you will have a smoother map display due to antialising used in the newer Navcores.

Managed to update my own One V4 OK, navcore and map, but I'm struggling with a friends TomTom One V1.
It has the original 120mb SD card which I want to leave as is cos its not big enough for the latest maps. I've got a 512mb SD card that I want to use. Tried the following but it won;t start up at all:
1. Formatted card.
2. Unpacked and installed this: SE_navcore.8.410.1218_32mb_Devices.
3. Coped UK & IE map V860.3126 to sam card.
4. Ran Auto Activate but it said ttgo.bif is missing. Copied this file from V4 backup.
5. Ran AutoActivate again, seemed to go OK.
6. Inserted card into V1 but just stops at the first screen wit a red cross flashing over a sd catd.
Have I done everything I should have done?
Would be grateful for any help you can give.
Thanks
