Unless he copied it from the old map folder, to the new, this is not his issue.

I confirm. I did not copy it from the old map folder.
Thanks anyway.

hello all ,
i got tt720 ,but i look for buy tt via 825. for 5" screen + cpu/ram (speed to find road)
(i looked 125 via before ,but no sd slot , 825 look be the same with sc card slot)

but before buy ,
i want to know if we can patch ttsystem or put new/old navcore (for get new map ?)

I heard on french board (radar/poi) , we have no more access to memory (system) of tomtom 125via
and it said it's a problems to put poi on device. (they have find other way to put poi in device & made it work)

but my question to the impossibility of access to memory :
what about the hack on these products ??

if some one have this model ,

1. Keep your 720.
2. None of these devices can be patched: GO 1000 series, GO 2000 series, GO LIVE 800 series, Via series, Start 20 series, Blue & Me TomTom 2 LIVE
3. "3rd Party" POIs can be added.

Stay with the official Navcore and you'll be fine.

hi all, i have a tomtom go v4, i was wondering if anyone knows if i can use a 4gb sd card in it as it doesn't seem to like it. the boot vers is 5.3029 and it has 29mb ram. i have the truck navcore and map from here, vers 8.398 on the navcore and Europe TRUCK 870.3421 map. is there a way ican get this onto a card and get it to work, or do i need different navcore and maps. i would preferably like the iq routes if poss.
many thanks
chris.

Check the bootloader thread in the tutorial section and you'll notice that you need at lease bootloader 5.5112 for SDHC support.
A suitable bootloader should be included in the Truck Navcore, you might have to rename the file systemxxxxx to system - where the x marks the version number.

Yes you can use a card. After you get your bootloader updated, load the navcore, map & a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file on the card, then run fastactivate to patch your map, if you haven't already done so.

hi downunder35m and tendriver, thanks for the help, i have done this but the sat nav just shows a picture of the card coming out with a red cross on it. do you know which latest navcores and map will fit on a 2 gig car it has a d? for some reason it just doesn't like 4gb cards, it tells me it needs formatting and when i try to do it it says that it can't format. it has a bootloaderversion file in the navcore, it is 5.5120, which should work but it wont. am i missing something that i have to do to get the bootloader to work? many thanks all,
chris
