1. The current navcore for your 530 is 9.430.
2. Current UK&ROI map for your device is 890.4222.
3. United States 2GB 890.4222

Hi

1. Please can someone help me with which version of navcore I should use too? I am newbie here...

This is information from my GPS:

TomTom ONE XL
Device:
App: 8.010 (9369/080529) OS: 190943
GPS v1.21, Boot 5.3026

2. I also want to update to the latest Australian Map

3. The Original SD Card only have 120mb capacity and I've decided to buy the new SD card with 4 GB capacity. Is it possible to install the map into this new SD card?

Many many thanks in Advance...

Try the 9.450 with memory boost I posted, for the map use the 890.4278 of Australia.
Using the bigger is no problem, simply keep the old one as a backup.

wow.. that was a quick reply.. thx mate..

I managed to download map 890.4278 but couldn't find the NV 9.450 with memory boost like u mentioned above.. would you be able to give me a link for this?

also, something weird happened when I insert the new SD card into my GPS and turn it on. My PC didn't recognise my GPS and force me to format the disk before I can use it.
And when I select Format button, another pop-up came up saying that WIndows failed to format.

Is there any procedure that I should follow before I could use my new SD card in my GPS?

Thanks and sorry for the noob question... :helpsos:

1. Your avatar is not really a wise choice
2. No idea about your SD problem, most likely your PC if the SD was working fine in the GPS
3. You can find the NC by checking the general section or simply by searching my threads through my profile ;)
5. For procedures I suggest to check our tutorial section and to follow the instructions provided in the posting for the NC/map of your choice

1. So sorry.. I've changed it straight away..

2. It's actually not working in my GPS.. when I turned it on the screen shown memory card pic with X cross on it.. I guess it means GPS didn't recognise my new SD Card, but funny thing is when I use my card reader, my PC can recognise the SD card.

3. Thanks.. I found it... ..btw, where can I find the information of my device internal memory (32mb or 64mb)?

5. (should be number 4... :) ) I'll do some research again.. thx for your advise

A quick look into the tutorials would show your BL is too low for SDHC cards ;)
You need 5.5112 or higher, I would opt for the 5.5120 or 5.5128.
A suitable one is included in the cabinet for the 8.351 NC for example.

Another noob question from me.. please don't be mad:confused:

1. Just wondering what is BL stands for?

2. If mine is too low for SDHC cards and need higher BL in order to read the SDHC, how can I upgrade it? is there any tool/software to do that?

Thanks again in advance...

1. BL = bootloader

2. The bootloader is a file titled "system". Download [Please Register or Login to download file] Copy the "system" file onto your OLD SD card. Boot your device with it, to up the bl to 5.5120. After it boots, turn it off. Now the SDHC card will work.
