Hi can anyone help me I want to install Western and Central Europ map 855 version on TT XL (Black Edition). The current navcore is 8.083. Which navcore should I upgrade to and does anyone know which map I should use? The 860 maps are larger than 2gb so cant install directly on to TT.

Any help greatly appreciated, please. Thanks

Your XL = 32MB RAM Memory, 2GB internal memory, & no card slot?
This is TT's answer to the maps that are 2GB+ in size.

If all of the above is correct, There might be one very basic 855 map that will fit.

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes it is a 32mb version. Have tried all the maps for WCE 2GB on here and out of the ones that fit the 2GB memory I keep getting the message "No Map Found" even though I have activated maps etc and it shows up in TT Home. Anyone one able to give a pointer as to which map will work? 855.2931 was the last map I tried before giving up! Thanks for the help guys, at least Ive learn how to update maps on here and when i get a decent TT device ill know what to do!

OK update your navcore. Go here: TomTom Automatic Navcore Installation Read the instructions. I would select the 9.205 NC.

W & CE 855.2931 = 1.94 GB

This is the only map that will fit. W & CE 2GB 855.2892 = 1.67 GB

Make a backup with windows explorer. Download this .cab & copy it to your 910 hard drive, overwriting any common files.

http://download.tomtom.com/sweet/navcore/9.205.rider3.CAB-navcore-RIDER.cab

Download this patched ttsystem file & copy the ttsystem + the PNDNavigator files to your 910 hard drive, overwriting any common files.
X_ttsystem.9.205.547817.1

Reboot.

Hello mr Tendriver, I wonder if this would also do for my rather old, but still good working TT Go 710?
Big question to me since I did not dare trying until now...

Thanx for the effort. The 8.842 navcore .cab is 24MB in size. Your link was 229MB.

You are right mine is 229MB thats because it´s a complete dump of the SD card and not only the navcore. It´s a complete dump of the SD card with the pachthed 8.842 navcore.

I am aware of that. It is cluttered with too many things that members might not be interested in.
