While patching my maps i get this error, this is my data:

* I can't find a .dct file so patching didn't work?
* ive updated the meta manually, this is the right version and meta is available.
* ive tried to delete the meta file and then run FA option 2 again, no result.
* ttgo file is in the root
* navcore is patched, confirmed by FA.
* i have the latest version of FA.

Who can help me with what im doing wrong? After 2 days my tomtom asks for flying lessons.......

Did you download the map from navitotal or from somewhere else?
Cause there are a couple of "problem"-maps available on the newsgroups. ecspecially this one

I can't download it from Navitotal, because that takes like forever, 8 or 9 parts x 45 minutes of downloading..

Is there any other option ?
the error is " incomplete maps, -> .dct error "

Of course you can download from Navitotal. And it won't cost you hours

It's the Zippyshare section. It took me about 5 minutes to download your map. And 2 minutes unpacking

Do the same with this map and it will probebly work. Or better, download another map more suitable for your device. If Europe South is all you need, you better try this one:

Europe_South_940_5963

or Western_Europe_940_5997

But my capacity is only 2 gb, most mpas are bigger. Im a bit new to this, i did it before with the Albert activator and newsgroup maps.

But this map some extra's the other Europe 1gb south doesn't have like lane guidance, iq-routes etc....

And you have 2gb internal storage so more than enough space available. Especially when you delete all the Cpeech files from the map.

Oh really? I didnt understand that. I woud like lane guidance, that's very nice to work with.

Than your original download was probebly one of those retailNAVIGON downloads. Those maps can't be activated without some adjustments.
Not everything is good on newsgroups.

Let's wait and see. Procedure is the same. And you can delete the Cspeech files because your device doesn't have a microphone.

It was indeed a upload from "navigon" from newsgroups, so thats a lesson ive learned. Not everything there is great either..

This NAVIGON serie was just a bad one. There's a lot of good stuff there also.

But at the end you have a new map with extras you wouldn't have if your first download was OK. Like Johan Cruijff would have said: "English ONLY". Don't think there is a proper English translation for this.

Quick question, is it normal that for the first route on the new map it takes a looooot of time to find gps satellites (as in: none..).
After 15 minutes still no route to "favourite place" ? It keeps hanging on the screen "searching for gps..."

First fix after a cold reboot can take a while.
Leave your device outside (if possible of course) to get a better fix. Maybe it will help if you update quickfix first.
