Ok I have put a clean install of the navcore on and that has booted ok I think.
I then copied the uk maps 945_6174 the problem I had was at the end of the install it asked to install a file called taase.exe I think it was and I was not sure if this was a virus so said no.
I then tried to patch the map with easy activator 6.15 and if I remember correctly I put the new meta in the meta file on cardf and should be able to patch it.
it then comes up with message

('United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-100262.meta') -Not in meta.txt
'United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-100262.meta'- Not Generated
('United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-100262.meta') -Not in meta.txt
'United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-100262.meta'- Not Generated

and ideas what I am doing wrong please

cheers

1. Tell it yes.
2. Use FastActivate Latest Update April 2015 includes a "Version Updater" tool!

Hi, following your thread, I have also a one XL IQ.
Downloaded last 9.510 from tomtom Home then 945_6245 Western Europe map.
Used Fastactivate -> everything went OK : DCT file created and navcore patched.
But when I reboot the gps, always get the welcome screen -> GPS seems to be stuck somewhere.
Any idea?
Thanks

Do a clean install of all on an empty device.
Backup the current files using Windows Explorer and delete everything from the device - DO NOT FORMAT.

No, it is too simple.
1. Remove everything from your device except the ttgo.bif file. Copy everything, that you removed, to your desktop as a backup.
2. Copy your new navcore, new map folder & FastActivate.exe to your memory.
3. Run FastActivate.exe option 2 to patch the new map.
4. Run option 3 to patch the new navcore.
5. Disconnect & reboot. Done!!

A nightmare...
I erased my device except ttgo.bif.
Copied the 945.6245 Europe Map that has the same size that Tomtom website recommanded
Installed Navecore form your link
Started last version of Fastactivate: navcore already patched and dct generated.
I started the device, got a castle welcome screen and then the message 'cannot find map"...
Is there a compatibility issue with the map ?
Regards
